Saturday 27th May "Turquoise Kisses Workshop" £33 10am - 4pm

with Janet Goddard

Machine piecing and quilting.

This is a great stash busting project in a modern design where little crosses (kisses) are positioned on the diagonal. I have made my quilt in turquoise, green and grey fabrics but this would be a great project for scraps. Students need to be able to use a rotary cutter and stitch an accurate ¼” seam. The items you need to bring are listed below.

The requirements listed below are sufficient to make a quilt measuring 48 ½” x 62 ½”

• 5 long quarters of assorted turquoise prints

• 3 long quarters of assorted lime prints

• 2m pale grey – background

• 40 cm print – binding

• 54” x 68” wadding

• 54” x 68” backing • Neutral thread for piecing

• Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat

• Sewing machine

• Usual sewing equipment

The binding and backing fabrics and wadding will not be needed on the day.

Long quarters allow for more economical cutting however if you only have fat quarters you will need to bring more fabric than listed above.
